Terms of service

The full contract, in plain English. Last updated April 2026.

1. What you're buying

A personalised, AI-composed song based on the brief you provide, delivered as an MP3 (and WAV / stems on Personal and Premium tiers). Songs are composed with AI, guided by music craft; we own no claim on being traditional songwriters.

2. Your license

When we deliver your song, we grant you a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Listen, download, and keep personal copies.
• Share privately with family and friends.
• Post to your personal social media (with one Songzy credit per year of use).
• Play at private, non-ticketed personal events (weddings, birthdays, memorials).

Not permitted without prior written agreement from us:

• Advertising, branded content, paid promotion.
• DSP distribution (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc.).
• Sync to commercial film, TV, or games.
• Resale or sublicensing.
• NFT or tokenised distribution.

If you need any of the above, email us first and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help. Because AI-generated audio may not qualify for copyright in your country, this license is contractual, not a copyright assignment. We cannot promise exclusive rights against the world.

3. Acceptable use

You may not request songs that:

1. sexualise minors;
2. defame, threaten, harass, or dox an identifiable person;
3. promote hate, violence, or self-harm against a protected group;
4. impersonate real public figures in their voice or as speakers of fabricated statements;
5. fabricate confessions, crimes, medical diagnoses, or affairs attributed to a named real person;
6. copy the lyrics or melody of existing songs, or mimic a named recording artist.

We reserve the right to refuse any brief that we believe violates these rules, and to issue a full refund when we do.

4. Payment & delivery

Prices are in EUR, VAT included where applicable. Delivery times (24h on Quick; same day on Personal; within 24h on Premium) are targets; if we miss them for a technical reason, we'll refund or re-deliver at your choice.

5. Refunds

See our refund policy. In short: full refund before production starts; free revisions if the brief isn't met; not refundable purely because taste differs.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, emotional distress, third-party claims) beyond that cap.

7. Termination

We can close your account and refuse future orders if you repeatedly violate the acceptable use rules above. Songs already delivered remain yours under the existing license.

8. Governing law

Italian law, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Naples, Italy. Consumer statutory rights under your country's law are not affected.
