Songzy

About

We make songs for the people who deserve more than a card.

Songzy is a small studio in Southern Italy. One idea, four people, and an unreasonable belief that the cheapest gift we give each other — words — is also the rarest.

Why this exists

Two years ago, a friend asked me to help write a song for his grandmother's 90th. She was losing her memory fast. He had stories — the smell of the bakery, the nickname she called him when he was small, the way she'd hum while she cooked — and no idea what to do with them. We spent an afternoon together. I wrote the lyrics. A musician friend put them to a simple piano melody and sang them into a phone.

She cried. Then she laughed. Then she held his hand and said the name. That moment was worth more than anything we'd ever bought her.

After that, I couldn't stop thinking about how many people had those exact stories — and no way to turn them into something someone could hold.

The best gift isn't the most expensive one. It's the one that proves somebody paid attention.

What we actually do

We take what you give us — the name, the memory, the three words, the voice in your head — and we write, compose, and produce a song around it. Our studio handles the lyrics, the voice, the arrangement, the mix; every line goes past a human before it leaves. Because the difference between a song and their song is in the details only a person catches.

Two hours from your brief to your inbox, usually. MP3 for Quick. MP3 + WAV + lyric video for Personal. Full cinematic treatment for Premium.

What we refuse to do

We don't do subscriptions. A song for someone you love is not a streaming service. Pay once, own it forever.

We don't auto-generate from a template. Every brief is read by a human before production starts. If your brief is thin, we ask you for more — because a thin brief makes a thin song.

We don't impersonate real artists, fabricate words in a public figure's mouth, or take orders that attack a person. The “acceptable use” rules on our terms page are short for a reason.

Who's behind it

Four of us. A writer who writes too much and cuts too little. A producer who came out of film scoring. A backend engineer who keeps the machine honest. A customer-care human who has cried at least once reading every brief. We're small on purpose — because the quality we care about doesn't scale to a warehouse.
